2024 sees the Spirit of Africa elimination rounds taking place at Dorinrivier 4x4 farm, situated approximately 14kms north of Zeerust, North West Province
The venue can be reached with a standard vehicle, a 4x4 is not needed. Travel to the event venue is not included. The competition is open to contestants residing outside of South Africa, provided that the contestants can arrange their own travel to the event. Elimination rounds will run from 16 April to June 2024. There are various group dates for you to select when booking. Bookings are confirmed on a first come, first serve basis, once a deposit is received.
Prices are set for teams of two people. The package includes all meals, tented accommodation
and the use of a Nissan Navara for the duration of the competition. There are two available time slots – midweek and weekend packages.
PROGRAMME
Day 1 - Arrive at venue by 15h45 - "meet and greet" - proceed to camp – registration - welcome and dinner
Day 2 - Breakfast - driving competition - lunch - driving competition - dinner - prize giving - hand-out of certificates
Day 3 - Breakfast, depart at approximately 09h00
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Sleeping bag and pillow.

There will be stretchers and roll-up camping foam mattresses in the tents or you can bring your own if you prefer.

Your own towel, soap and toiletries.

Sunglasses and hat.

A flashlight/torch or small camping light for your tent.

Warm clothing for the evenings.

Your own medicines for all reasonable foreseeable ailments – hay fever, insect bites, headaches, runny stomach, inflammation from regular conditions (not accidents), sunburn, eye drops, blisters, colds, flu and fever.

Sunblock.

Your own alcohol, mixers and drinking water.

Your own snacks and soft drinks for between meals.

Glasses and ice will be available.

A timing device such as a stopwatch.

There are chalets for hire at R800 each for the duration of your stay. Available on a first come, first served basis.

Galaxy Creations, under the personal direction of Bradley Jones, videographer, will supply you with a memorable production of your stay at the Spirit of Africa. Various options are available. Be sure to order yours at registration upon arrival on the first day.

GUESTS
We can only accommodate the contestants taking part in the competition. There is no accommodation available for extra guests who are not participating in the competition, unless previously arranged with the organisers.
